Everquest Design - Own A Piece Of History

The Idea
This just started as a " latte at Starbucks" idea about making jackets and bags from recycled cloth and old sails. It rapidly evolved into the concept of not just any cloth but famous materials. We thought it would be cool to have a bag with a piece of a sail from the America's Cup or from the Space Shuttle parachute. After having spent a weekend in New York and having seen so many Vuitton and Prada bags; they must have been giving them away! We thought that the authenticity factor: "Is it a real so and so bag?" was really being challenged. Copies and fakes were everywhere eroding the "exclusive cachet" of branded bags. What is authenticity in a product or brand? How can you tell if it is a fake? We thought that one way to ensure authenticity is to take authentic materials. Wouldn't that be cool if you could have a bag with a real piece of famous material rather than have a bag with a brand fabric (read Louis Vuitton) that may or may not be the real thing! We wanted to offer something real as a piece of adventure into a bag rather than just a new brand of well-designed bags. This is how we started looking for famous materials (sails, space parachutes) and this is where we are now.

I have been involved in marketing and sales since 1986. I have worked for some of the largest companies in the world (Ford Motor Credit, Peugeot, Teleglobe) and with very small startups helping them to sell, market and merchandize their products around the world. I have worked in marketing around the world (USA, Bahamas, Australia, Indonesia, Poland). I love to create original and innovative products and to market them. This is why I founded Everquest design: To Bring a piece of history and adventure to our customers in an everyday product. A bag that is guaranteed to be authentic!

We are always looking for relics for our next collection. If you have Famous relics that you think can be marketed please contact us.
